The two enemies of the people are criminals and government. We tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so it will not become the legalized version of the first..

I'll look into it. Not crazy about mods that may screw with the updates.

Re: Tapatalk

its on just about every message board i use except for this one.. With so many msg boards using it, im sure if there were issues with updates, it would be pretty easy to find with a quick search.

My question would be "What do I, the board owner, get out of it?" Their response seems to be: "Well, you might help us sell more copies of our app to your viewers, since the free version doesn't let you post."

You the board owner allow your users who have smartphones an easier way to view/post on message boards they frequent.

A guy wrote the software. He lets you use it for free if you just want to view. Charges a bit to get a full featured version. This isnt some new process, its been out since the early days of PC's (Freeware). Not trying to be a dick, but I think the proportions are getting blown sky high with this request. It would be nice if it was turned on in here, if not, no big deal.

Those who have smartphones, and enjoy the ease of on the go message board use make the call as to "is this worth a couple dollars to me". Not everyone says yes, but to those that say no, it costs nothing but a few minutes time to install on the board for those who do use it, and it has no real impact on the users who say no thanks, or the board owner. I dont really care to debate the warrants of "WTF why should I help this guy sell his app". I use it, its handy, it would be nice if it was usable here.

Any issues that may arise from an update or install are promptly addressed on their forums.
