If you think SWG was a grind, stay VERY far away from Lineage and it's ilk.

I'm of the impression they all have grinding in one form or another. The only difference is what you kill and how many it takes to get all of what you need.

The "your actions make a difference line" is being force fed because that is how Bioware makes their games. You pee in some guys cheerios, he isnt going to sell you a "Sword of Fate" two minutes later. Its a great aspect to MMOs that most do not adhere to (Faction grinding does not count) because it makes you think about what you are doing more.

As far as grinding levels goes, they have stated since early development that they were trying to not go that route, but as all games go, what is on the planning table, and what makes it to release never works out. We'll have to wait and see.

The more I see of this game, the more im liking it. It looks like they may finally get a SW MMO right, let alone finally have something that may legitimately contend with WoW.

Quite a bit of visual candy mixed in too. Game still looks pretty impressive. Closed beta for external testers went live this month.
